DUTIES
- Sales of online advertising space to local businesses.
- Formulation and sales of promotional campaign opportunities to potential national advertising clients.
- Sales of internet-based services to industry-focussed buying groups and their members.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR Marketing and Sales Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE (PURPOSE OF POSITION)
To sell internet-based advertising space and source new clients and service existing clients for other internet-based services.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITYThe occupant will be responsible for achieving advertising sales and client sign-up targets, whilst maintaining good ongoing relationships with clients.
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The occupant operates with limited supervision from the Manager.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Exceptional people skills.
- Sales experience with internet-based products and/or services.
- Be highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Possess the ability to “think on your feet”.
- Good organisational skills and familiarity with computer-based software including Microsoft Office products and email/Internet software.
LOCATION
The position based in Sydney but may require occasional travel to other major Australian population centres.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of effective sales and marketing techniques and approaches.
- A qualification in a relevant discipline.
- At least a basic understanding of web hosting and the Internet, search engines, and website design principles.
- Flexibility in availability to undertake tasks.
